This Pub is Closed Long Term

Locals' pub with strong Irish following. Noted to be closed in Nov 2017.

In Jun 2018, a planning application (ref. 18/01874/MAF) was submitted to demolish part of the building and reconstruct to form residential accommodation. This was granted by City of Bradford MDC in Jan 2019. In Mar 2021, a planning application was submitted to demolish nos 194-204, including the Red House pub, and construct 5 retail units with residential flats above. This was refused in Jun 2021. In Apr 2022, a planning application (ref. 22/01342/FUL) was submitted to demolish the pub and construct two new retail units. A decision was made but then withdrawn by the Planning Authority in Jun 2022. Google Earth imagery from Jul 2022 confirm the pub was demolished anyway!
