CLOSED DOWN IN AUTUMN 2022. A PLANNING APPLICATION (REF. 24/00485/FUL) WAS GRANTED TO CONVERT THE PUB TO RETAIL AND RESIDENTIAL USE. WHEN VISITED IN JAN 2025, THE PUB WAS PARTIALLY DEMOLISHED AS PART OF THE CONVERSION WORKS. THESE WORKS WERE CONTINUING WHEN VISITED IN MAY 2025.

Before it's closure, this pub was the only one in operation in the Heaton area and on the B6144/B6269 route between Bradford and Bingley!

An imposing building located above the B6144, this sizeable open-plan multi-roomed suburban pub with a conservatory focussed on serving good value food.

When surveyed in March 2022, it was no longer selling real ale. In August 2022, it was also reported that the pub was no longer selling food (there was no evidence of food being sold during a subsequent visit) and that entertainments were no longer held. It's future was doomed.
