Attractive two-roomed locals' pub with a half-timbered front. The public bar and extended lounge, on either side of a central serving area, both feature beamed ceilings. The lounge extension is used for dining (the Bit 'n' Cherry Restaurant). Outdoor drinking in the small garden at rear and on seats at front. Accommodation is in converted outbuildings at the back.

Historic Interest

While part of the building is reported to date back to the 16th-century, and it appears to have been a blacksmith's cottage in 1881, the earliest record as a pub is 1914.
