Historic Interest

Delicensed 21/02/13 but closed in May 2011 landlady Joanne Bowes and owner Joseph Holt, In May 1981 it was a Greenall Whitley Keg pub, but by February 1983 it was selling Greenall Whitley cask Mild and Bitter (E). The Pub was not listed in the 1989 Beer in Bolton Guide so must have been keg beer only. In May 1999 the pub had been bought by Holts and reopened after a refurbishment on July 16th. In March 2002 Bolton had more Holts pubs than ever before, but the locals did not approve of the Commonwealth Games Beer - Baton Bitter.
