Historic Interest

Originally owned by Mitchell & Butlers, it was transferred to Stonegate who applied one of its themed national brands to it. Never knowingly sold cask beer. The PR blurb said - Located at the former Scott’s Bar site next to the Macron Stadium; the stylish bar has undergone an extensive transformation, complete with distinct modern décor and a strong focus on a unique live sports offering. Notably, the new venue will be providing sports fans with VIP table service and a special match-day sports menu featuring pitchers of cocktail, buckets of beer, sharing platters and hand-rolled pizzas – making this the ultimate venue to head to on a match day or when the big sporting action is live on the big screens. It’s also the first bar in the area to fit a “Bottoms-Up” speed bar sourced direct from the USA’ which pours 65 pints of Carling in one minute! No wonder it soon closed.
