Historic Interest

In May 1981 this was a Greenall Whitley pub selling Mild and Bitter (E). In November 1983 Greenall Whitley Original Bitter was available too, but by June 1985 this had disappeared. In April 1986 it was mentioned in an article about not being too far from the Sunnyside. It was included on a Pub Crawl on November 25th 1988. The pub was included in the 1989 Beer in Bolton guide as selling Greenall Whitley Mild and Bitter using electrick handpumps. A Branch Meeting was held here on August 2nd 1990 and the pub was included in the 1991 Good Beer Guide and in March 1991 Stones Bitter was also available. The pub was visited on the Daubhill Pub Crawl on February 17th 1994.
