The 'Last Drop Village' evolved from a derelict 17th Century farm. The metamorphosis started in 1963 with the name 'Last Drop' coming from the last drop of wine offered to the owner during a meal to celebrate the completion of the first phase (the restaurant) in 1964.

The COURTYARD BAR next to the Hotel Reception area is a split level bar served by a small bar. Note the baby grand piano high above the bar area beneath the rafters which provides the Saturday evening entertainment from 7pm. This bar often opens earlier when functions are booked although it is closed for customers when it is in use for a private function. There is twenty four hour access to the bar for residents of the Hotel via the reception. Access for non hotel customers can be made through the side door shown in the photos. There are panoramic views over the Moors from the large windows in this area.

The 'Drop Inn' is in a separate building at the rear Pool and darts are played here and there are many different seating areas. There are tables outside and is very popular in the warmer and drier months. Note there is even a still in use 'Victorian Pillar Box' opposite.

The 'Village' complex is large and has a one-way road system and many car parks. The well known Tea Shop is open every day and there are often fetes, fairs and even a beer/cider festival in the grounds/function rooms during the year.
