Historic Interest

In May 1981 it was a Keg Tetley pub. It was not listed in the 1989 Beer in Bolton guide as it still only sold keg beer however at some point prior to 1992 it started selling Tetley Dark Mild and Bitter and this was listed in the 1992 Great North Western Beer Festival Programme.By January 1993 it had become a Burtonwood pub, and by late 1993 it was noted as selling Burtonwood Bitter. It was visited on the Independence Day Crawl on June 28th 1994. it still had the Burtonwood Beer signs up when it closed, one was a traditional beer one at the rear, though it was many a long year since the pub sold any traditional beer. Last Landlord was Tony Cross and owners Admiral Taverns.
