Following conversion to a Craft Union branded pub the two handpumps which were previously unused at the far end of the bar were brought back into use, but not for long.
Historic Interest
Once owned by Crown Brewery of Bury before they were taken over by Duttons of Blackburn in 1959 who then became part of the Whitbread empire in 1964. In 1982 it was still a Whitbread pub only selling their keg beer
