A coaching inn possibly dating back to the 16th century. It offers, usually, three beers (maybe two in winter months) from micros within 20 miles, including small new microbreweries such as Kettlesmith, and from two to four ciders and a perry, depending on the time or year.

There is outside seating at the front of the pub and in a small patio area at the back.

The village is now a quite cul-de-sac after the bypass was built a few years ago, and, being close to the Kennet & Avon Canal, it is popular with boaters, walkers, and cyclists. Accommodation is in three luxury en-suite bedrooms.
