Latest news, Aug '24, is that it has been bought by local pub group Chaffinch Pubs, who will be refurbishing it and reopening it later in the year. Chaffinch own the excellent Bath Arms, Shearwater, at Crockerton, just a few miles away.

Closed 23 April 2023 - planning application to convert to private dwelling submitted 5 July 2023 - Now withdrawn and being marketed as a pub.

An historic 17th-century coaching inn, very popular with diners.
