Wetherspoon's chose not to renew the lease on this property in April 2021. It's future therefore very much uncertain.

This relatively small Wetherspoon outlet in the shopping area and not too far from the sea is named after the work of a local artist, Alfred Leete who published a "Book of Dragons" as well as the famous WW1 recruiting poster "Your Country Needs You". The guest beers vary considerably. There is reasonably priced food, including pizzas, and usually one or more traditional ciders in a box. A mix of comfortable seating, and a light and airy ambience is noticeable here.
