Reopened as the Forge and Fern late July 2022 after closing in October 2020 as the Red Lion (was Wadworths) Has undergone an extensive revamp and refurbishment to create a 'green-first' pub with gin distillery, and also nine flats to the rear of the property. Very family friendly with breakfast served from 08.00-15.00 and the day menu from 12pm. bookings only initially as they find their feet. All produce locally sourced including the beers which are currently all keg. Bristol Beer factory and Lost and Grounded feature well. As at July 2022, a couple of points to note. Those wanting just a drink are at this time only welcome in outside areas - none of which are currently covered. Staff encourage you to order from your table via an app, but it appears a significant surcharge is added for doing so. Paying by card at the bar avoids this charge. No cash accepted. We suspect these policies may be reviewed once everything settles down. Dogs welcome on outside terrace only.
