A friendly historic pub in the centre of Lydd

The Star Inn was bought from EI as it was then. The new owners had run a pub in Highgate, London and were thinking of reopening the Star as a pub, bearing in mind it had been closed for approx. 4 years. However, after doing their research they realised it would not work. There are 3 pubs in Lydd plus the memorial hall next door which runs a members club with cheap beer.

As a result they converted the pub into an Airbnb. In the Summer it is tourists while in the winter it is groups taking over the whole building.
