Old town-centre hotel, built in 1850, refurbished and modernised a few years ago. Consists of a separate public bar and and Indian restaurant with good sized function room and dining room and a large wood-burning stove located between two pillars in public bar

Does a healthy trade in take-away meals, specialising in curries.

After a change of owner and several bar managers, the pub has stopped stocking Landlord leaving no real ale being stocked anywhere in the area.
