Friendly family-run hotel set in its own grounds in a quiet residential area, very close to the town centre and the railway station. The comfortable lounge includes a dining area and there are additional tables in the conservatory, making it a popular venue for families.
Unfortunately, sales of ale dwindled during the pandemic, and it no longer has any handpumps. Once upon a time had three handpumps serving a variety of beers, often from Scottish micros. Still has a large selection of whiskies on offer.
Outside, there is seating on the patio and an attractive garden.
