This Pub is Permanently Closed
A large community pub, built in the mid 1930's for the Kemp Town Brewery. It later became a Gales house, before being sold. It has two separate bars. The left-side lounge bar contains two raised areas, one with dining tables at the front window, the other at the rear; just the dark-brown woodwork of the ceiling was from the 1930s. The Sports Bar on the right has a pool table, dart board and TV, fully wood panelled with parquet floor and original lettering on the toilet doors.
