The highly popular CAMRA podcast Pubs. Pints. People. is heading down to the Great British Beer Festival to bring you all the latest on the popular event, which will be running from 2-6 August at Olympia London.

Hosts from the programme have recorded on site to bring listeners live coverage of all the latest events taking place at GBBF, including the announcement of CAMRA’s new homebrew competition and to launch of the exclusive rugby travel package giveaway, available to visitors throughout the week.

Find out about all about the beers featured in the newly released World’s Greatest Beers which will be available on the floor of the festival directly from authors Roger Protz, Pete Brown, Claire Bullen, Emma Inch, Jonny Garret, John Holl and Lotte Peplow.

You can also hear from Greg Bateman about his initiative to combat stigma around mental health through the relationship between rugby and beer, as well as a direct view on organising an event of this size from volunteer event organiser Catherine Tonry.

Catherine Tonry said: “What I’m most looking forward to seeing friends – some of whom I haven’t been able to see in about three years because of COVID. The volunteers at GBBF are like a big extended family and I’ve made some lifelong friends over the years by volunteering at the festival. It truly is the best celebration of live beer in the world!”

The episode “The Great British Beer Festival” is now available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or wherever you get your podcast, giving you plenty of time to tune in and plan your visit to this year’s festival, which will be running until Saturday.
