Extensive food orientated pub on the A6 south of the town centre. The comfortable interior is split level, and while open plan is sub divided into discrete areas. While mainly laid out for diners, there is a comfortable bar area with pool table towards the rear of the pub and an outdoor drinking area with heated canopies. Four handpumps feature Abbott Ale as a regular and three seasonally changing beers or still ciders, beers selected from the SIBA list.
