Situated opposite Durham University’s Bill Bryson Library, this pub closed in April 2018 in its former guise as the New Inn.
It has reopened totally refurbished and with its new name in October 2018 and is selling cask ale (3 lines). It is independent and focused on local beers with a rotational keg line and a fridge with over 30 different local ales and craft beers.
It is a food led, family (and dog!) friendly outlet with a section of the pub being a restaurant seating 30 people with table service. The rest of the pub comprises the bar/cafe area, where there is a separate “bar snacks” menu for those just heading in for drinks.
It is open from 830am with an alcohol licence from 10am.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 1 regular beer.
