Low-beamed black & white pub/hotel. Part of building, on the right in photo', is originally a farmhouse dating from1652. The left hand part is the "New" 1970 extension. On 1836 Tithe map is described as a 'Homestead & Garden, occupied by Thomas Bourne. Described as the White Lion Inn on 1870 OS map.
Underwent major internal refurbishment in October 2013. Beer range now often contains local brewery products. Now £1 off a pint on Monday for CAMRA members.
