Rebuilt venue on site of the former Squirrels Social Club which had been closed and derelict for some years. Saved by the local community from being turned into flats, as happened to the Phoenix Hotel next door, a local businessman bought the venue from the council (who owned it since 1925) and has spent time and money building The Waterfront. Also home to Sally's, their purpose built event venue.
