This pretty and historic thatched Pub was on overnight stop on the journey from London to Bristol. Its most famous guest was reputedly Charles Dickens who used it as his model for an Inn in The Pickwick Papers. The pub no longer provides accommodation but there is excellent food. Check the web site for special food offers and events such as 'Wine & Dine' nights. Up to five Wadworth real ales are served; three regulars plus two seasonals.
