A traditional pub that reflects the history and heritage of the New Town. The split-level single room has an intimate cosy feel with wooden floors and subdued décor, along with large mirrors (not brewery/distillery related). The emphasis is on local products so the cask ales are usually from Scottish independent breweries and there is a good selection of Scottish gins and malt whiskies. Well worth seeking out to avoid the well-worn tourist trails. Children are not admitted.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 1 regular beer.
