A traditional pub that reflects the history and heritage of the New Town. The split-level single room has an intimate cosy feel with wooden floors and subdued décor, along with large mirrors (not brewery/distillery related).
The emphasis is on local products so the cask ales are usually from Scottish independent breweries and there is a good selection of Scottish gins and malt whiskies.
It has become a centre for Scottish folk music several evenings a week.
Well worth seeking out to avoid the much visited tourist trail pubs.
Children are not admitted.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 0 regular beers.
