Built in 1852 as the Sussex Hotel. Square-shaped bar with a small raised secluded room at the rear. An aeroplane-themed interior features some seating taken from an original Concorde supersonic jet, an engine cowling forming the ceiling-mounted lighting, and a flight announcements board showing beer lists. Children welcome until 9.30pm. British & modern European food is served all day. Digital juke box.
Reported that, by March 2022, cask ale was no longer on offer, the handpumps having all been removed. A good range of keg beers is available.
