This pub has been completely changed. It is now a bar and restaurant. Retails a substantial number of local and national bottled beers and ciders. Features a beer garden, public bar, and two dining rooms for 34 & 54 covers respectively. Breakfast, lunch, evening, Sunday, children's and buffet menus available. It has its own car park, and there is a bus service on main road. There are monthly music sessions and a large screen for sporting events. It won the Lisburn City Council Best New Business Award 2015. The Speckled Hen's own brewery, the Black Mountain Brewery produces beer for the pub. Among the beers have been: Irish Whiskey Ale, Mountain Dew black larger, Divis Diva strawberry beer, Lambeg Willie honey porter and Derriaghy Darling cream ale. The beer changes regularly.
The licensees decided to retire from the business at the end of January 2023. We suspect that the pub is now shut but we cannot confirm that (please use 'submit updates' to let us know further news on this), it could be that new people will take over the business. No planning applications for any changes have been made as of May 2023.
