A traditional style of public house with welcoming staff and friendly clientele. The L-shaped pub has a warming real fire during the winter months.

There are up to nine real ales on the bar and real ciders. A variety of cobs, sausage rolls and pork pies are available throughout the day.

Quizzes are held on Thursdays and a local archery club meets on the adjacent land on Saturdays.

Local CAMRA Pub of the Summer 2023 and Local CAMRA pub of the year 2024.
