Large traditional locals' pub opposite the Library and Centre. Recently returned to selling real ale in September 2019 after a number of years without. At one time cask beers from the John Smiths Brewery were offered but now the two real ales are from Timothy Taylor and Sharp's. Prices are very competitive for the area. A comfortable lounge area to the left of the bar, is complimented by a games area featuring darts and pool, accessed via the corridor that also leads to the toilets and the outside area. there are several TV screen.
