Popular JD Wetherspoon pub whose name commemorates William Penn, the Quaker theologian who recruited colonists from Rickmansworth and founded what became the State of Pennsylvania. As well as taking part in national Wetherspoon festivals, the pub occasionally holds its own themed beer promotions. Under 18s are permitted until 9pm. There is an outside drinking area in front of the pub.
