Old Dog, Thorpe

Reopened late Dec 2014 after a lengthy refit lasting a full two years. Stone floor throughout, smart bar area with a curving main bar separated from a smaller side bar by a large pillar. 4 handpumps on both bar area, but maximiu of four different ales on at any one time. Large array of craft beer & cider pumps, good range of bottled beers and a wide selection of whiskies and gins. interesting and filling food menu, excellent coffee as well. Huge outside seating area with sheltered tables in old farm buildings as well. Very welcoming to all walkers and dogs, 5 minutes off the Tissington Trail at Thorpe Station and a very short drive to Dovedale. Named local branch Pub of the Year 2016.
