A new bar in the heart of Manchester's newly developed Spinningfields area. Built partly from reclaimed Irish timber it has plenty of character. With a single large room it is surprisingly intimate. Suspended from high the ceiling are a multitude of lamps hanging from the wheelhub of a tractor. The back bar was rescued from a Russian fregat (possibly the "upper stage" of a space rocket!). There is live music every night and Sunday afternoons, most commonly a duo or a pianist. There is a tv, but this only shows the news channels and with the sound off. The bar boasts an impressive bottle collection featuring both domestic and foreign beers. Following a refurbishment in 2018 this now sells tanked Czech Budvar.
Outside there is a large paved beer garden and the BBQ which acts as the kitchen.
