Comprehensively remodelled in 2016. Four rooms and a hallway became two rooms in contemporary style, featuring grey paint and uncarpeted floors. A few old features remain. The pub's pride and joy is a 17th-century fireplace with ornamental plasterwork on the breast in the bar-room - the more recent fireplace with a large range is worth a look too. A core of locals regularly frequent the bar but there are a fair few customers stopping off from rambles around the beautiful countryside. Street food 4-8 Tue.

Historic Interest

Early 19th century building with remains of perhaps 1680, inc chamfered fireplace with shaped head and ornamental plasterwork on the breast - possibly imported from another building.
