Comprehensively remodelled in 2016. Four rooms and a hallway became two rooms in contemporary style, featuring grey paint and uncarpeted floors. A few old features remain. The pub's pride and joy is a 17th-century fireplace with ornamental plasterwork on the breast in the bar-room - the more recent fireplace with a large range is worth a look too. A core of locals regularly frequent the bar but there are a fair few customers stopping off from rambles around the beautiful countryside.

Historic Interest

Early 19th century building with remains of perhaps 1680, inc chamfered fireplace with shaped head and ornamental plasterwork on the breast - possibly imported from another building.
