A family owned pub, now in its second generation of ownership. It was built in 1981 and was designed with the intention of it having something of the feel of a narrowboat. Thus the public area is quite narrow, and is 71ft long, just like a narrowboat! There are TVs at the bar end with the rest laid out with wooden tables. Situated on the banks of the Llangollen Canal with its own moorings and marina, it is very popular in season. There is a pleasant canal side garden. The three beers are usually from Shropshire breweries.
Campervans are permitted to stay in the pub car park. The 449 Ellesmere to Oswestry bus passes the pub (not Sunday).
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 1 regular beer.
Narrow Boat, Welsh Frankton
Changing beers typically include: Ludlow (varies) , Monty's (varies) , Three Tuns (varies)
