Built in 1760, is Grade II listed. The pub retains its central bar layout, surrounded by four separate rooms, one of them with an open fire. Another historic building lies directly behind, the Medieval Eyre Chapel is accessed through the pub car park and is Grade II* listed. Adjoining this is the Newbold Observatory which has public open evenings. Tuesday Cask ales - £3.00 CAMRA member discount of 15p a pint is also given. Traditional cider is available in summer months.
