Very much a food venue with hotel accommodation, this pub dates from the mid 16th century when it was on the edge of the scrub and fen land. Until 1824 a light was hung outside to guide travellers across the fen. The name refers to a toll gate which stood here for many years. Multi-roomed with old world charm, and a range of seating from settees to armchairs. Beers including sourced from Small Beer
