This is a restaurant, where drinking alcohol, including draught and bottled beer, is only allowed when food is being consumed.
It is possible to have a drink without purchasing a meal.
This was quite a large rural pub situated between Hanwood and Pontesbury. It closed in 2014, and was sold and re-opened as a restaurant in October 2015.
It now operates as a smart Indian restaurant. There are two dining rooms and a seating area. The bar is immediately to the left of the entrance. Non-diners are welcome.
No cask ale but they do stock bottle conditioned King Cobra brewed in Belgium by Rodenbach.
Historic Interest
It was once a part of the large local estate of the Shrewsbury & Wem Brewery.
