This Pub is Temporarily Closed

The King's Head has recently changed to Community Ownership following the retirement of the previous owners. It is temporarily closed whilst cahnges take place prior opening in February.

Any update on a re-opening date would be gratefully accepted

Active Campaign

The King’s Head is up for sale, and a consortium of local villagers and others are hoping to purchase it to safeguard its future as the last remaining pub in the village. In order to raise funds for this, the Kings Head Community Benefit Society held a very well-supported meeting at the pub on the 1st November to launch a community share offer. Full details of this and their business plan, should the purchase of the pub be successful, are on their website. The society has already received support from Sussex Weald MP Nusrat Ghani, Wealden District Council, Tom Kerridge (the well-known chef and publican), several local breweries, and other organisations.
