Located on the main Harrogate to Wetherby road (A661) where it's crossed by the Bradford road (A658) on its way into Wharfedale. Mainly given over to food service, the inside is a mix of ancient and modern with new flagstone flooring, worn old beams and lots of new wood all over. Low beamed ceilings with “Duck or Kestrel” on a particularly low one, making the central area dark and cosy. The walls are plain in the modern taste with some interesting victorian cartoons, caricatures and prints. There are many tables and chairs in two separate dining areas with a central bar area that is more casual drinker friendly. This part has armchairs, tables and stools and some vertical drinking space. The pub has an attached “Innkeepers Lodge”.
