Porthcawl's oldest pub. Nautical feel to both rooms and the bar features plenty of information on the pub's history. The pub faces the green and 12th Century St John the Baptist church. This pub shares a car park with the Ancient Briton opposite.

The once lounge bar has now been turned into a mostly eating area.

Quiz nights on Wednesdays at 2100 hours where the money is raised for local charities.

Very popular with dog owners due to dog snacks being available.
