Hickory's Smokehouse, Earlswood

REAL ALE not available
Operator: Greene King
The Common, Earlswood, B94 5SL (View on Google Map)

After a comprehensive refurbishment inside and out, lasting several months, the former Reservoir pub has been transformed into a Hickory's Smokehouse. The interior is unrecognisable from the past; the bar has been moved from one end of the pub to the other (back to where it was decades ago, apparently); lots of seating at tables with banquettes and chairs. As the name suggests, food is focused on southern USA BBQ style dishes; portions are very generous. Sports shown on multiple large screens around the pub. No real ale; Hickory's Pale Ale, brewed by Purity, is a good craft beer alternative.
