This gastro-pub is only 3km from the centre of Truro, but boasts superb views overlooking the river and woodlands, it is deservedly popular with visitors and locals alike. Access is up two or three short but steep flights of steps from the roadway. The bar has an interesting aqua and blue-grey colour scheme with oak woodwork and slate floor, and decor is mainly supplemented by old pictures of local scenes. The Heron is heavily food-orientated, offering an extensive range of home-cooked food using local produce. Drinkers-only are welcome but have to find unlaid tables or drink at tables across the road; lingering at the bar is discouraged. Very limited parking is available, although the pub is also accessible by boat - river trips go to/from Falmouth from the nearby quay in summer. The St Austell beers offered may be supplemented by one of the 'small batch' brews when available..
This Pub serves no changing beers and 3 regular beers.
