This pub has won the local CAMRA Pub of the Year numerous times. It offers four regular cask ales plus a further four changing guest ales from local and national micros, including dark beers. One rotating guest cider, six rotating craft kegs and imported bottled beers are also available. The single-room bar has a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere attracting both locals and travellers. A cafe style food menu is available in the bar all week, with the first floor dining room open Friday and Saturday evenings plus Sunday only.
