Low-beamed, traditional village pub adjoining cricket pitch and dating from circa 1800. It has an open-plan format but with a rustic, multi-roomed feel. There is a restaurant area to the left side of the pub and a general drinking area to the front and right. The L-shaped bar in the centre has six hand-pulls for real ales but, when visited in August 2023, only two were in use. There is an extensive collection of Toby jugs above the bar. Food-led but with ample space for drinkers. Good-sized car park and lots of picnic benches fronting the pub and also to the rear overlooking Tong Manor cricket ground.
There is no bus route through Tong Village. The nearest bus is the 425 at Westgate Hill approximately 1 mile (20 mins walk) away.
This Pub serves 4 changing beers and 2 regular beers.
