Popular real ale and cider bar first opened in December 2014.

Green Hops has now morphed into the Icy Eye.

The town's first micro pub, overlooking the village green, was opened by two enthusiasts who noticed a gap in the local market for such an establishment.

Several changes of ownership later, the pub is selling two beers of varying styles: beers from Wensledale and Theakstons have recently reatured

In addition, ciders and perries are available, ranging from real ciders to the more modern fruity ones, some of which are well known, some not so well known, and some quite strong!

Third of a pint beer/cider bats are available.

A fine selection of gins and whiskies are also served, together with quality mixers. Usual top quality micropub type nibbles are also available. Local CAMRA branch Cider Pub of the Year for 2016 and 2017.
