A small traditional village centre pub, full of character. It is now a family owned pub under the management of a community group. The walls and ceilings are covered by a collection of weapons, armoury, military equipment, artisan items and brasses. There is also a glass covered deep well. An open log fire, plus an oil burning stove, help give the interior a warm welcoming atmosphere. The village car park can be found 100 metres to the west. Changing beer is usually from local breweries such as Exeter brewery, Hanlons or Utopian. There will be more regular food in the future but the offer at the moment is food for Special events such as Quiz nights has food available and there is brunch on Sunday mornings.
