Cosy and friendly community pub about twenty minutes walk (or direct bus route) from Chelmsford city centre. Three separate rooms, with a quiet area on the left as you enter. Serving home cooked meals Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Hosting mini beer festivals, tap takeovers and regular charity events. Sun trap garden and very dog friendly. Regularly changing selection of cask ale and up to 10 ciders. Monthly special beer 'Loopy Juice' which is something strong or different. Closed on Mondays except bank holidays.

Multi award winning pub including East Anglia CAMRA Pub of the Year 2023, Essex CAMRA Pub of the Year 2023 - 2025, Essex CAMRA Cider Pub of the Year 2024, local CAMRA Branch Pub of the Year 2023 - 2025, local CAMRA Branch Cider Pub of the Year 2024 and 2026.
