Eleven is a Grade II listed building (No. 1247619), which is an old townhouse dating from around 1700 and altered c1890.
"Painted brick, with ashlar dressings and slate and plain tile roofs. Irregular street front, 3 storeys plus attics. 2 shopfronts, that to right late C19 with recessed door. To left, a passage entrance with a plank door. Above, to left, a gabled wing with tripartite plate glass windows on the first and second floors. To the right, set back, a town house front, 3 bays, with 3 plain sashes on each floor, with keystones. Above them, a moulded brick parapet. Rear elevation, facing a yard, has on the ground floor a late C19 inserted shopfront. Above, on each floor, 2 glazing bar sashes. Above them, a small hipped dormer. Set back to the right, a single bay with a glazing bar sash on each floor. INTERIOR has an early C18 staircase, single flight and return, with moulded and ramped handrail and 2 balusters per tread, one of them twisted. Upper flight, to attic, has single turned balusters. No.23 has a first floor front room with an early C18 moulded coving and late C19 marble fireplace. Second floor has a complete early C18 panelled room with raised and fielded panels, dado rail and overmantel panels. Fireplace boarded."(Historic England).
