Large pub located on the main road through Walsall Wood. The pub was originally known as The Hawthorn Inn which served the local mining community until the pit closed in 1964. Historically it served ales from the local Shire Oak Brewery, long since closed.
The pub changed names to Brass Tacks in April 79 then Tipplers in November 1982 and finally to The Drunken Duck in April 1987. The pub was extended in the early 1990's into what was Boucher's shop.
The main bar area has a wood burning stove, there is a single main bar and a pool table is located in what used to be the pub snug.
There is a beer garden to the rear of the pub and a separate smoking area.
