A modern 'L' shaped bar with an outside patio area overlooking the village green.
The pub is named after the famous WWII fighter pilot, who flew out of RAF Martlesham. The pub was opened in 1979 by the man himself - see pictures in bar. The pub and nearby housing is built on part of the former airfield.
