Picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the pub food and the cask ales, The nearby Devil's Dyke is, according to local folklore, an unfinished trench which was dug by the Devil in an attempt to flood the churches of the Weald. Buses run 7 days a week but vary according to the time of year. Check bus company website for more info (www.buses.co.uk). Convenient for South Downs Way Footpath.
